Job summary

PACS is seeking a Dietary Aide to support the kitchen and dietary supervisor. You will learn the food service routine quickly, set up meal trays, assist with serving meals, wash dishes, and help maintain a clean, sanitary work environment.

The role requires reading recipes, following procedures, obtaining a food handlers' certificate, and working cooperatively with staff across departments. This position emphasizes teamwork and reliability in a post-acute care setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain food handlers' certificate.
• Ability to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to learn food service routines quickly.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Operate dishwasher and keep kitchen sanitary.
• Check chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain kitchen and floors.
• Participate in orientation and training of dietary staff.
