Job summary

PACS is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in daily food service operations. Responsibilities include setting up meal trays, washing dishes, serving meals, and maintaining sanitary kitchen conditions. The role requires learning routines quickly and assisting cooks and dietary supervisors.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and obtain a food handlers' certificate. Ability to follow recipes and read procedures is essential; strong teamwork across departments is expected.

Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain a food handlers' certificate.
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.

Responsibilities

• Learn food service routines quickly.
• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and wash dishes.
• Assist with serving meals.
• Check chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine.
• Observe water temperatures during dishwashing cycles.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen.
• Take out trash and garbage.
• Store groceries safely.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen setup.
• Support orientation and training of dietary staff.
