Job summary

PACS seeks a dietary aide to support meal service in a post-acute care setting. You will set up trays, assist with serving meals, and help maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen. You will also learn routines quickly and work closely with the cook and dietary supervisor to ensure quality service.

The role requires reading procedures, following recipes, and maintaining food safety standards, including certificates. A strong team player with reliability is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain food handlers’ certificate.
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays.
• Operate dishwasher and maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces and floors.
• Assist with serving meals and preparing nourishments and snacks.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine.
• Clean, sanitize and organize the kitchen and equipment.
• Assist with inventory and stocking groceries as needed.
• Learn food service routines quickly and cooperate with dietary staff.
