Job summary

PACS is seeking a dietary aide to assist in the kitchen and dining areas, following the guidance of the cook and dietary supervisor. Responsibilities include setting up trays, operating the dishwasher, and maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen.

The role requires the ability to learn routines quickly, read procedures, and work cooperatively with staff across departments. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must obtain and maintain food handlers’ certificate.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and procedures.
• Ability to learn food service routines quickly.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and wash dishes.
• Assist with serving meals.
• Check chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwasher.
• Operate dishwasher and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop floors and kitchen area.
• Carry out trash and dispose of garbage.
