Job summary

The Yay Company in Austin is seeking a Kitchen & Service Assistant to keep the café stocked and running during lunch service and grab-and-go. You’ll support the Lead Cook with prep, labeling, and staging while engaging with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Kitchen prep support: mise en place, station upkeep, assist Lead Cook.
• Labeling and staging for distribution with clear date and use-by info.
• Pack and deliver spoke school orders if required, maintain temperature control.
• Lunch distribution and grab-and-go checkout, ensuring correct orders and warm service.
• Clean as you go and assist with end-of-shift breakdown.
