Job summary

Sur La Table is hiring a Kitchen Assistant in Oklahoma to support chefs, engage with guests, and maintain a clean, efficient kitchen environment. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer experiences, assisting in class execution, and ensuring smooth operations across kitchen and retail areas.

Ideal candidates will have food handling certification, retail experience, and a passion for hospitality and teamwork, with flexibility to work part-time hours including events and evenings.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• 1 year retail sales experience preferred.
• 1 year food prep and/or kitchen operations experience preferred.
• Valid Food Handlers Certification.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture to create memorable, educational experiences.
• Assist chefs with class execution and drive repeat visits.
• Deliver class revenue goals through high enrollment and guest satisfaction.
• Set up and breakdown of classes, prep ingredients, and clean workstations.
• Ensure food safety standards and maintain clean, organized kitchen and store areas.
