Job summary

Sur La Table in the United States is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support chefs, engage guests, and maintain a clean, well-organized kitchen during classes and store operations. You will help with mise en place, prep ingredients, and ensure a safe, welcoming learning environment while delivering memorable experiences and driving customer satisfaction.

Minimum 18 years, 1 year retail sales or kitchen experience preferred; 12–16 hours per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays; flexible

Qualifications

• 1 year retail sales experience preferred.
• 1 year food prep or kitchen operations experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent brand and culture by delivering memorable kitchen experiences.
• Assist chefs with class execution to drive enrollment and positive feedback.
• Support with mise en place, prep, and clean-up for class sessions.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in all activities.
