Job summary

Sur La Table is hiring a Kitchen Assistant to support chefs during classes, engage guests, and uphold a clean, organized kitchen. You will help run classes, ensure guest satisfaction, and contribute to store revenue through strong service and teamwork.

Ideal candidates bring 1 year of retail or kitchen experience, a Food Handlers Certification, and solid communication skills. Flexible schedule with some weekend hours is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• 1 year retail sales experience preferred.
• 1 year food prep or kitchen operations experience preferred.
• Valid Food Handlers Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and retail systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture, creating memorable experiences that inspire loyalty.
• Assist chefs with class execution to drive enrollment and positive feedback.
• Meet or exceed monthly sales goals; KPI-driven performance.
• Set up and breakdown of classes; maintain mise en place and sanitize dishes.
• Maintain safe, clean kitchen operations and inventory control.
