Job summary

Sur La Table in the United States is hiring a Kitchen Assistant to support chefs during classes, ensure a clean, organized kitchen, and help deliver a best-in-class guest experience.

You will engage with guests, assist with mise en place, maintain food-safety standards, and help drive class enrollments and customer satisfaction. Ideal candidates have 1 year of retail or kitchen ops experience, a valid Food Handlers Certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail sales experience preferred.
• 1 year food prep and/or kitchen operations experience preferred.
• Valid Food Handlers Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and retail systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable, educational experiences for guests.
• Assist chefs with class execution to drive repeat visits and positive feedback.
• Help meet class revenue goals through high enrollment, reviews, and guest satisfaction.
