Family Dollar is seeking a Part-time Team Member in Ligonier, Indiana to greet customers, assist with merchandise, and process sales at the POS, while helping keep the store clean and well stocked.

You'll support daily store operations, help with deliveries and inventory, and assist the Store Manager as needed. Availability including weekends and holidays is preferred.

This role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and maintaining a welcoming environment in our neighborhood retail location.

Qualifications

• Prefer completion of high school or equivalent.
• Experience: Prefer management experience in retail, grocery or drug store environments.
• Ability to read, interpret and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics).

Responsibilities

• Guides store team on operating practices and procedures.
• Greets, assists and thanks customers, answers inquiries, and resolves concerns.
• Builds sales through suggestive selling and promotions.
• Maintains a clean, well-stocked store and positive image with customers.
• Accurately handles customer funds and POS transactions.
• Assists in unloading deliveries, stocking shelves, and moving merchandise.
• Supports asset protection and opening/closing duties in absence of management.
• Completes training and follows company policies.
