Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Indiana LLC in Gary, Indiana is seeking a part-time Retail Sales Associate to provide exceptional customer service, assist with merchandise selection, and process sales at the POS. You will support store operations, help with inventory, and assist the Store Manager as needed.

The role requires flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays, and physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs. A high school diploma is preferred, and prior retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read, interpret and follow operational directives and store policies.
• Experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist and thank customers; answer questions and resolve concerns.
• Help customers locate merchandise and increase basket size through suggestive selling.
• Process transactions accurately using the POS system.
• Assist in unloading deliveries and stocking shelves; maintain store cleanliness and appearance.
• Support Store Manager with daily activities and operational duties.
