Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Indiana LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities and help create a welcoming shopping experience.

Responsibilities include opening and closing procedures, merchandise organization, processing directives, payroll and scheduling, loss prevention, and maintaining clean, well-stocked floors.

Qualifications

• Reading and explaining operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail/grocery/drug environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Team-oriented with problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, payroll/scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store areas and secure assets.
• Enforce policies and safety guidelines; mentor Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Oversee cleanliness of the store, restrooms, floors, and waste.
