Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a part-time team member to provide exceptional customer service, assist customers with merchandise selection, and efficiently complete sales transactions. The role includes supporting store operations, inventory, and deliveries, and stepping in for opening/closing duties when managers are absent.

Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required. Prior retail or management experience is preferred, along with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with merchandise selection and location.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and assist with inventory and deliveries.
• Support store operations and assist the Store Manager with daily activities.
• Open or close the store in absence of the Store Manager/ASM; perform cash handling and record keeping.
