Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking School-Based Paraprofessionals to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time role provides one-on-one and classroom support to students with moderate to severe needs at K-12 level, onsite across 1–3 sites.

Starting immediately through the end of the 2026-27 school year, the position offers a W-2 employment type and schedule from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• 48 college credits or an Associate's degree
• School-based classroom experience
• Ability to commit to the assignment for the full school year
• Flexibility with caseload and school site
• Authorization to work in the United States; English proficiency

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and classroom support throughout the school day
• Provide behavioral support and intervention for students with moderate to severe needs, using positive reinforcement and safety procedures
• Assist students with academic tasks, assignments, and general academic support
• Assist the teacher(s) and other paraprofessionals in the classroom as needed
• Support students with daily needs, which may include toileting and diapering
• Support implementation of IEP accommodations and behavior plans as directed
• Assist students during transitions, arrival, dismissal, lunch, and recess as assigned
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, therapists, and administrators
• Maintain accurate documentation and student records, and maintain confidentiality
• Help maintain a safe, structured, positive, and inclusive learning environment
