Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is hiring School-Based Paraprofessionals (Instructional Aides) for the 2026-2027 year. These full-time onsite roles support PK-12 students with significant needs, providing 1:1, 2:1, or classroom assistance and collaborating with teachers to promote student growth.

Start dates are staggered between mid-November and mid-December 2026, through the end of the school year. Pay is $20-$24/hour, 30 hours/week, Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, onsite.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 months of experience with moderate to severe behaviors.
• Ability to provide toileting and diapering assistance.
• Availability Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM at any district site.
• Fingerprinting, background check, TB test and state requirements.
• Reliable transportation and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1, 2:1, and classroom-wide support during the school day.
• Offer behavioral support for students with moderate to severe behaviors.
• Assist with personal care including toileting and diapering.
• Reinforce teacher-led lessons and classroom routines.
• Document data and maintain confidentiality of records.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, therapists, and administrators.
• Support IEP accommodations and behavior plans as directed.
• Assist during transitions, arrival, dismissal, lunch, and recess.
