Wired Technology Partners, Inc. in Chicago, IL is seeking an Onsite Support Engineer to provide hands‑on IT support for district staff and faculty, ensuring classroom and office technology stays reliable and secure. This is a highly visible, relationship‑driven, in‑person role.

You’ll troubleshoot Windows/macOS/ChromeOS devices, printers, and network basics, document environments, and collaborate with a remote service desk and senior engineers on escalations and projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on IT support experience in an on-site setting.
• Strong troubleshooting across endpoints, peripherals and productivity tools.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Excellent communication with non-technical users; patient and service-oriented.
• Ability to work on-site independently while coordinating with a remote team.
• Able to lift and move common IT equipment in school buildings.
• Able to pass district background checks and follow school policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly on-site technical support for staff and faculty in coordination with district policy.
• Troubleshoot Windows/macOS/ChromeOS devices, printers, and peripherals.
• Manage user access, MFA, and basic account provisioning in district systems.
• Perform basic networking triage and classroom tech support for projectors and displays.
• Own incidents end-to-end with clear notes and timelines; escalate with proper documentation.
• Maintain ticket documentation and district site device inventories.
• Assist with deployments and classroom technology rollouts.
• Conduct proactive maintenance to reduce downtime and ensure security best practices.
