Job summary

Wired Technology Partners is seeking an Onsite Support Engineer to provide hands-on IT support for K-12 school districts in Memphis and the Delta. This in-person role requires you to work directly with teachers, staff, and administrators to keep classroom and office technology reliable and users informed under pressure.

You will troubleshoot devices, assist with accounts and light network tasks, document environments, and coordinate with our remote desk for escalation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on IT support experience (helpdesk or onsite).
• Strong troubleshooting across endpoints, peripherals, and core productivity tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent context switching and competing priorities.
• Excellent communication skills with non-technical users; patient, calm, and service-oriented.
• Ability to lift/transport common IT equipment and pass district background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional on-site technical support for staff and faculty and, where applicable, student-facing devices in coordination with district policy.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving Windows/macOS/ChromeOS devices, printers, and peripherals.
• Resolve user access issues, MFA, and basic account provisioning within district-approved systems.
• Address wireless connectivity and basic network troubleshooting (layer 1-3).
• Own incidents end-to-end: set expectations, timelines, and follow-through to full resolution.
• Maintain accurate ticket documentation and time entry.
• Create and maintain district site documentation (device inventories, network notes, recurring issues, guides).
• Assist with projects and deployments (device refreshes, classroom rollouts, software installs).
• Perform proactive checks and maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Support security best practices (MFA, phishing awareness, endpoint hygiene).
• Provide white glove customer service with minimal classroom disruption.
• Participate in after-hours support when needed.
