Job summary

Three Rivers School District seeks a versatile Network Technician 1 to join the IT Department. The role focuses on maintaining a functional learning environment by providing direct technical support to district staff and students.

Hardware and software fixes, plus basic network troubleshooting, are key duties. The candidate will work in an educational setting with Apple iPads, Chromebooks, and classroom AV equipment, using Jamf Pro for device management and Google Workspace for Education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of hands-on technology experience (paid, internship, volunteer, or coursework all qualify).
• Working proficiency with Windows 10/11 and macOS.
• Comfortable performing basic hardware repairs (replacing screens, batteries, keyboards).
• Valid Oregon driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between school sites.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting (required for all K-12 employees in Oregon).
• Preferred: JAMF 100 certification (or willingness to obtain within first year).
• Hands-on exposure to Jamf Pro, Google Admin Console, or other MDM platforms.

Responsibilities

• End-User Support: Tier 1 support to district staff and students, in person and via ticketing system.
• Device Repair & Maintenance: Repair and maintain student devices (Apple iPads, Chromebooks) and classroom hardware.
• Platform Support: Help with Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, Google Workspace, and Office 365 issues.
• Device Management: Support Jamf Pro and Google Admin Console for user accounts and groups.
• Network Connectivity: Basic troubleshooting of wired/wireless issues; escalate to Network Administrator.
• Deployments: Setup, deployment, and retirement of workstations and classroom tech.
