Job summary

Bridgeport Public Schools is seeking an Information Technology Services (ITS) Field Technician (Tier 2) to provide end-user hardware, software and network device support across district sites. Responsibilities include deploying devices (Windows, Mac, iPad, Android, Chrome OS), printers, IP phones, and AV equipment, imaging, and software upgrades.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree (bachelor's preferred), 2–3 years IT experience, and certifications such as CCNA, A+ or Network+.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor's preferred in Information Technology.
• CCNA, A+ and/or Network+ certifications preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Information Technology.
• Experience providing hardware and software support to end users who may not be technically savvy.
• Experience with device imaging and management tools (SCCM/Intune).
• Familiarity with anti-malware products (SEPM, Crowdstrike, Cisco AMP, Carbon Black).
• Ability to move and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deployment of user and network devices (Windows, Mac, iPad, Android, Chrome OS).
• Deploys printers, IP phones, and AV equipment; loads OS images and software.
• Network drops and conferencing room cabling; on-site deployment to district sites.
