Job summary

Region 9 School District is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide essential technical assistance to students, faculty, and administration in a dynamic middle school environment.

You will deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware and software across macOS, ChromeOS, and iPadOS, using MDM tools, and support events with sound systems and displays. Strong communication and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; progress toward a Bachelor's degree or CS certifications is highly preferred.
• High proficiency with Google Workspace (G Suite), Chromebooks, and Chrome extensions.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with students and school leadership.
• Must have reliable transportation and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Help Desk contact for staff and students; diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
• Install, configure, and upgrade software across macOS, ChromeOS, and iPadOS using MDM tools.
• Assist with invoicing and billing for damaged devices.
• Provide technology support for special events by deploying sound systems, microphones, and presentation screens.
• Support administration and security teams with video retention and online activity systems.
• Unbox, deploy, and repair computers, Chromebooks, interactive displays, projectors, monitors, phones, and printers.
• Maintain accurate hardware inventories and document procedures, support tickets, and system configurations.
• Research hardware/software compatibility and provide data-driven upgrade recommendations.
• Serve as point of contact for external vendors regarding technical support and repairs.
