Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support students with intensive behavioral needs under IEP guidance. You will collaborate with educators to implement plans and monitor progress in diverse classroom settings.

This in-school role requires patience, strong communication with families, and the ability to assist with personal care as needed, contributing to a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working in an educational setting with students needing behavioral support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work one on one with an assigned student to meet IEP goals with accommodations.
• Assist in development and modification of behavior support plans.
• Implement behavior support plans; record progress toward goals and incidents.
• Utilize behavior support and de-escalation techniques.
• Provide personal care support as needed.
• Maintain a safe, positive environment and supervise students.
• Communicate effectively with parents and school staff.
