Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support K-12 students requiring intensive behavioral supports. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized behavior plans and document progress.

This role emphasizes student safety, de-escalation strategies, and collaboration with families. The position requires a high school diploma, with preferred college experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college experience or bachelor's degree highly preferred.
• Experience implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive behavioral needs.
• Emotional consistency and resilience to handle stressful situations.
• Flexibility to support where needed to ensure safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Provide monitoring and support throughout the school site.
• Support the creation and implementation of behavior support plans.
• Record, track, and document behavioral incidents and progress.
• Utilize PBIS strategies and school incentive programs.
• Implement de-escalation techniques and crisis management if needed.
• Foster a positive environment and collaboration with staff.
• Develop differentiated supports with the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in debriefs after challenging events and crises.
• Facilitate communication with parents.
