Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support K-12 students with intensive needs under an IEP.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, providing customized behavior support and life skills instruction in in-district classrooms or standalone settings. You will track progress, implement plans, and use respectful de-escalation techniques to ensure safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience with behavioral interventions in an educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with an assigned student to meet goals set forth in the IEP.
• Assist in developing and modifying behavior support plans.
• Implement behavior support plans and record data on behaviors and progress toward goals.
• Utilize de-escalation techniques and crisis management when needed.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment and monitor students at all times.
• Communicate effectively with parents and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.
