Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a dedicated paraprofessional/behavior aide to support students with intensive behavioral needs in K-12 settings.

You will work one-on-one to help meet IEP goals, implement behavior plans, and assist with life skills development within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include data recording, de-escalation, and communicating with families, while maintaining a safe, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience working in an educational setting implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive behavioral needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with an assigned student to meet goals set forth in their IEP.
• Assist in development and modification of behavior support plans.
• Implement behavior support plans and record data on behaviors and progress toward goals.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies.
• Implement de-escalation techniques and crisis management if necessary.
• Provide personal care support as needed.
• Communicate effectively with parents.
