Job summary

SRF Consulting Group, Inc. seeks an entry-level Civil Design Engineer to join the Urban Mobility & Infrastructure group in the Minneapolis, MN or St. Paul, MN office.

You will contribute to civil design for reconstruction projects balancing pedestrian, bicycle and vehicle priorities, and support LRT, BRT, and related transit projects. The role offers exposure to diverse projects, opportunities for professional development, and a pathway toward licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and FE exam or qualification to take the FE exam within six months of starting.
• Related internship experience preferred for grads.
• Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley 3D design tools is a plus.
• Interest or passion for designing inclusive urban mobility solutions balancing pedestrians, cyclists, vehicles, and transit.
• Seeking someone who is a self-starter, collaborative, dedicated, enthusiastic, flexible, innovative, organized, eager to learn, with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the design team in producing quality products for clients.
• Engage in a positive work environment with an open mind to learning new skills and software.
• Be an active participant on a collaborative design team with SRF.
• Exhibit quality day-to-day work in line with SRF's quality management plan.
• Perform design calculations, cost estimates, plan production, and onsite construction observations; travel required.
• Additional duties as assigned.
