Job summary

SRF Consulting Group, Inc. in Minneapolis, MN seeks a full-time Design Lead - Civil Design Engineer to manage and lead roadway design projects for highway and municipal infrastructure. You will supervise staff, coordinate with disciplines, and contribute to client development.

The role emphasizes quality control and effective documentation throughout project lifecycles. The position requires a PE in MN or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months, and 5+ years of transportation design

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited school.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in MN or able to obtain licensure within 6 months.
• 5+ years of civil transportation design experience.
• Proficient in producing construction plans and documents using AutoDesk or Bentley.
• Experience developing studies, reports, permits, applications, and technical specs.
• Strong work ethic, communication skills, and ability to work independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate project tasks with other groups/disciplines, including budgets.
• Lead roadway design tasks for preliminary and final design projects.
• Ensure day-to-day work aligns with SRF's quality management plan.
• Develop project documents including reports, studies, designs, and permits.
• Interact with clients, regulators, and the public as needed for project completion.
• Provide training support for engineers and staff.
• Support business development and proposals as needed.
