Job summary

SRF Consulting Group, Inc. seeks a Civil Engineer - Design Lead (Urban Design/Municipal) to join our Urban Mobility & Infrastructure group in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN or Chicago, IL. The role focuses on balancing pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicle priorities across a range of innovative urban projects.

You will manage design tasks, lead multidisciplinary teams, and develop contract documents while engaging clients and agencies to deliver high-impact infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited school.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Demonstrated strong skills and experience relevant to civil design and project delivery.
• Microsoft Office suite experience.
• Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bentley 3D design tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design tasks for projects in urban mobility and infrastructure.
• Coordinate project tasks across disciplines and manage budgets.
• Develop project documents, reports, and contract drawings.
• Interact with clients and regulatory agencies to advance project goals.
• Manage medium to large projects and mentor junior staff.
