Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Jr. Transport Network Specialist to support the NMCI/SMIT program, providing network engineering and operation support across WLAN, LAN, and WAN environments.

You will monitor events, document outages, and coordinate with vendors to maintain service health for Navy users. The role requires a US Citizen with DoD Secret clearance and IAT Level II certification, familiarity with ITIL practices, and hands-on experience with SNMP-based monitoring and Cisco IOS/IOS XE.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of prior relevant experience or training.
• US Citizen and DoD Secret Clearance.
• DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification required before onboarding.
• Familiarity with ITIL best practices (ITIL Foundations).
• Knowledge of tools used for Event, Incident and Performance Management including SNMP-based monitoring.
• Experience in a DoD environment and understanding of customer communication.
• Experience in a data center environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor events and incidents affecting Network Transport and service health across the Enterprise.
• Document outage information and actions taken to respond to incidents.
• Create trouble tickets and perform initial assessment/triage; escalate as needed.
