Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Network Monitor Specialist to support NMCI/SMIT, performing network engineering support across Navy programs. The role emphasizes monitoring events, triage, and incident resolution to keep enterprise services healthy.

Qualifications

  • Requires 1-4 years of prior relevant experience.
  • US Citizen and DoD Secret Clearance.
  • 8570 Compliant meeting the IAT level certification requirements.
  • Familiarity with ITIL best practices (ITIL Foundations).
  • Knowledgeable on tools used in an Enterprise organization that aids in Event Management; Incident Management and performance Management.
  • Worked in a DoD environment and understands customer communication.
  • Experience in a data center environment.
  • Willing to perform shift work.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor events and incidents affecting server and service health across the Enterprise.
  • Document outage information and actions taken to respond and resolve outages.
  • Monitor multiple server solutions critical to users' missions.
  • Escalate significant alerts/events to appropriate processes and personnel.
  • Provide support to Site Operations and external organizations using problem resolution skills.
