Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in the United States is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to apply materials, structural analysis, and design knowledge to nuclear facility projects with peers from diverse disciplines.

You will prepare calculations, develop specifications, and support drawings while performing analyses of steel frames, concrete members, supports, and foundations. Training and mentorship are provided in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Structural/Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering with strong materials, structural analysis, and design background.
• Completion of steel and concrete design coursework.
• Knowledge of loads analysis for structural supports and design integrity.
• Understanding of applying engineering principles to project design.
• Knowledge of structural design techniques and ability to produce technical plans and drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of materials, structural analysis, steel and concrete design to projects.
• Prepare design calculations and develop specifications; support drawing development.
• Perform structural analysis for steel frames, connections, concrete members, supports, and foundations.
• Conduct loading analyses, including wind and seismic, for structure and equipment.
