Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team focused on nuclear facility design and improvements. You will apply knowledge of materials, structural analysis, steel and concrete design to develop calculations and drawings, collaborating with engineers from multiple disciplines.

Your role includes creating and reviewing design calculations, reviewing specifications, and supporting field verification during plant site projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Structural/Civil Engineering with strong materials and behavior knowledge.
• Coursework in steel and concrete design; practical application of structural engineering concepts.
• Ability to apply loads analysis for structural supports and design integrity; producing technical plans and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design calculations, develop specifications, and support designers with drawing development.
• Perform structural analysis and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, and foundations.
• Conduct loading analyses including wind and seismic; work with interdisciplinary design teams.
