Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to contribute to nuclear facility design and modernization projects. You will apply your knowledge of materials, structural analysis, steel and concrete design to real-world problems and collaborate with engineers across disciplines.

You will perform calculations, prepare specifications, and assist in drawing development while gaining mentorship from experienced professionals in a challenging, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural/Civil Engineering with strong academic background in materials behavior and structural design
• Coursework in steel and concrete design and an understanding of design codes and standards
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency with MS Office applications

Responsibilities

• Prepare design calculations and develop specifications for structural systems
• Support designers with drawing development and project documentation
• Perform structural analysis and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, supports, foundations; assess wind and seismic loads
