Job summary

United Grid Solutions is seeking a Structural Engineer to support design and construction of electrical substations, greenfield stations, battery storage stations, and transmission line projects. You will work under supervision and collaborate with clients, vendors, and our project team to deliver safe, compliant structures.

The role requires a civil engineering degree with steel and concrete design coursework, 0–2 years of related utility design experience, and proficiency in structural

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with coursework in steel and concrete design (Masters preferred).
• 0-2 years of electrical utility design experience with increasing responsibility.
• Experience writing and providing support documentation for structural engineering calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis, calculations, and prepare sketches/drawings for supporting structures and foundations for substation equipment and transmission line structures.
• Support structural efforts on engineering services and EPC projects.
• Ensure complete design packages (drawings, BOMs, specs) meet client budgets and schedules with high quality.
• Collaborate with other design disciplines, contractors, suppliers and clients.
• Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and client specs.
