Job summary

United Grid Solutions is seeking a senior civil-structural engineer to provide design oversight, technical direction, and project management support for transmission substation projects in the United States. This role involves billable project work and leadership of junior staff.

You will create civil-structural drawings, perform calculations, and collaborate with customers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, cost-effective, and compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a four-year college.
• Engineering degree from ABET-accredited program.
• 8+ years of experience as an engineer in the electrical/power delivery sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead discipline-specific work for civil-structural projects.
• Prepare calculations and drawings for substation foundations and structures.
• Monitor project schedules and budgets; support proposals and cost estimating.
