Job summary

Black Canyon Consulting is seeking a Junior Reengineering Specialist to help document current processes and support the design of improved workflows. You will work with senior analysts and stakeholders to capture requirements, map steps, and document handoffs, while ensuring compliance with internal controls and policies.

You will assist with creating future-state documentation, SOPs, templates, and job aids, and participate in pilot testing to validate new workflows and drive efficiency

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in business analysis or process improvement.
• Ability to document current workflows and identify gaps in processes.
• Experience creating process maps, flow charts, and SOP templates.
• Experience drafting or updating SOPs, templates, or job aids.
• Ability to work with stakeholders and teams across disciplines.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with internal controls and process documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reviews of existing business processes and workflows.
• Gather information from stakeholders and supporting documentation.
• Support discovery sessions and process review meetings.
• Document steps, handoffs, decision points, and dependencies.
• Identify delays or bottlenecks and document inefficiencies.
• Contribute to future-state workflow components and requirements.
• Prepare draft workflow charts and templates, and update SOPs.
• Support pilot testing and collect user feedback for improvements.
• Collaborate with senior specialists and technical teams to ensure compliance.
• Ensure deliverables align with policies and federal requirements.
