Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a project support engineer to assist the project team on smaller, less complex projects. You will help manage changes, track costs, and procure equipment and services to keep projects on schedule.

The role requires applying basic ERP, CAD, and MS Office skills, plus foundational knowledge of HVAC or plumbing design. You will collaborate with subcontractors and stay current on industry trends to deliver practical, value-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent education, training, and experience.
• Basic ERP skills, including inquiring, reviewing, and printing job cost reports.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC or plumbing design.
• Basic verbal and written communications skills.
• Basic computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office, such as Excel.

Responsibilities

• Estimate the impact of project changes and inform management.
• Manage change orders, ensure accuracy and tracking.
• Procure equipment, materials, and services; assist in subcontractor selection.
• Stay current on emerging trends.
• Analyze and resolve basic questions and problems as needed.
