Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a project-support professional to assist on smaller, less complex projects. The role involves estimating change impacts, managing change orders, procuring equipment and materials, and assisting in subcontractor selection.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent, basic ERP, HVAC/plumbing knowledge, and solid communication and CAD/MS Office skills. Southland offers a 100% employee‑owned environment and a broad benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent education, training, and experience.
• Basic ERP skills, including inquiring, reviewing, and printing job cost reports.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC or plumbing design.
• Basic verbal and written communications skills.
• Basic computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office, such as Excel

Responsibilities

• Estimates the impact of project changes and provides information to applicable management.
• Manages change orders, ensuring they are completed accurately and tracked as required.
• Procures equipment and materials and services; and participates in the selection and hiring of subcontractors.
• Stays current on emerging trends.
• Analyzes and resolves basic questions and problems as needed
