Job summary

Southland Industries seeks a Project Engineer to support the project team on smaller, less complex initiatives in Washington. You will estimate impact of changes, manage change orders, and assist in procuring equipment and subcontractors.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, basic ERP skills, and knowledge of HVAC or plumbing design, with strong communication and computer skills (CADD and Excel). You’ll contribute to cost reporting and stay current on industry trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent education, training, and experience.
• Basic ERP skills, including inquiring, reviewing, and printing job cost reports.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC or plumbing design.
• Basic verbal and written communications skills.
• Basic computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office, such as Excel.

Responsibilities

• Estimates the impact of project changes and provides information to applicable management
• Manages change orders, ensuring they are completed accurately and tracked as required
• Procur es equipment and materials and services; and participates in the selection and hiring of subcontractors
• Stays current on emerging trends
• Analyzes and resolves basic questions and problems as needed
