Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a project support professional to assist the team on smaller, less complex projects in Pflugerville, TX. You will help estimate impacts of changes, manage change orders, and procure equipment and services, while supporting subcontractor selections and ongoing project administration.

The role emphasizes staying current with industry trends, resolving basic questions promptly, and contributing to accurate cost tracking and documentation within a collaborative ME P

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent education, training and experience.
• Basic ERP skills to inquire, review and print job cost reports.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC or plumbing design.
• Ability to read mechanical and plumbing drawings.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills including CADD and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Estimates the impact of project changes and provides information to applicable management.
• Manages change orders. Ensures they are completed accurately and tracked as required.
• Procur es equipment and materials and services; and participates in the selection and hiring of subcontractors.
• Stays current on emerging trends.
• Analyzes and resolves basic questions and problems as needed.
