Job summary

Southland Industries seeks a project support engineer to assist the team on smaller, less complex projects in California. You will help with change orders, procurement, and coordination with subcontractors.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's in engineering with basic ERP, CAD (CADD) and MS Office skills, plus strong communication. This is with a 100% employee-owned company offering a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth, with a pay range of $81,000–$89,000 yearly plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent education, training, and experience.
• Basic ERP skills, including inquiring, reviewing, and printing job cost reports.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC or plumbing design.
• Basic verbal and written communications skills.
• Basic computer skills, including CAD and Microsoft Office, such as Excel.

Responsibilities

• Estimates the impact of project changes and provides information to applicable management.
• Manages change orders, ensuring they are completed accurately and tracked as required.
• Procures equipment, materials, and services; and participates in the selection and hiring of subcontractors.
• Stays current on emerging trends.
• Analyzes and resolves basic questions and problems as needed.
