Job summary

Wood Automotive Group is seeking a Junior Support IT in Canada to handle day-to-day helpdesk duties and assist the IT Operations Manager with network and system management. Pay attention to hardware, imaging software, Windows, and vendor programs.

The role requires travel between multiple company locations and owning a reliable vehicle. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are essential; the candidate will also assist with inventory and ordering of hardware and software.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in an IT related field.
• Interest in technology and willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of IT concepts, software and technologies.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with PC and Networks; strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide helpdesk support via email, in person, or phone.
• Troubleshoot and repair PC/Mac peripherals and applications both in person and remotely.
• Help users minimize downtime and increase productivity.
• Contact third parties to resolve issues when needed.
• Log and monitor support tickets and escalate when necessary.
• Document workflows and processes; set up new user accounts.
