Job summary

McGavock Auto Group is seeking an Automotive IT Support Specialist — Dealership Operations to provide in-person and remote IT support across multiple dealership locations. You will diagnose Windows/Microsoft 365 issues, deploy devices, support onboarding, and assist with phone systems, pursuing consistent IT standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, clear documentation, and collaboration with the IT team.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of hands-on IT support, desktop support, help desk, or similar technical experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows PCs, Microsoft 365, Outlook, printers, troubleshooting hardware, and user support.
• Experience with device setup, software deployment, account support, and basic networking concepts.
• Comfortable working directly with non-technical users in a fast-paced business environment.
• Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple requests while communicating clearly.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally between assigned dealership locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person and remote support for employees across assigned dealership locations.
• Diagnose and resolve common Windows PC, laptop, printer, peripheral, Wi-Fi, software, and connectivity issues.
• Prepare, deploy, replace, and maintain computers, monitors, phones, and other IT equipment.
• Support employees onboarding and offboarding by preparing devices, completing assigned access tasks, and recovering equipment.
• Assist with Microsoft 365 user support, including Outlook, Teams, passwords, MFA, and basic account-access issues.
• Support desk phones, mobile devices, and related phone-system requests.
• Create and maintain clear ticket notes, asset records, inventory records, and basic technical documentation.
• Follow established IT security standards, including access-control, device-handling, and escalation procedures.
• Identify recurring issues and elevate patterns or higher-impact incidents promptly.
• Assist the Systems Team with local projects, site moves, device refreshes, and technology rollouts.
