Job summary

WSP is seeking an Early Career Electrical Engineer for our York, PA office starting in Summer 2027. You will contribute to the Property & Buildings team on utility, industrial, and commercial projects, assisting with design and construction tasks.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
0–1 year post-education experience.
Analytical mindset with strong research skills.
Understanding of electrical design for large capital projects.
Familiarity with electrical construction laws and codes.
Effective written and verbal communication in engineering context.
Ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

Assist with data collection and analysis for substation components and procurement pricing.
Support design of single-line diagrams, substations layouts, and grounding design.
Provide entry-level engineering support for sizing, cabling, and conduit design.
Verify site characteristics and provide technical assistance on procedures.
Prepare electrical calculations and documentation using electronic systems and logs.
