Job summary

WSP is seeking an Early Career Electrical Engineer for our York, PA office, starting Summer 2027, to join the Property & Buildings team on utility, industrial, and commercial projects. You will assist in design, analysis, and documentation to meet client objectives and safety standards.

Under supervision, you will collect data, draft diagrams, perform basic electrical calculations, and contribute to reports and permits. Travel may be required depending on project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 0 to 1 years of relevant post-education experience.
• Proficient with design software and electrical calculations.
• Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with an engineering and non-engineering audience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data collection and analysis for substation components and procurement pricing.
• Assist with design of single line and three-line diagrams, wiring, and bus layouts.
• Perform basic electrical calculations for loads, sizing, grounding, and lighting.
• Generate documentation using drawings and field notes; ensure safety and compliance.
• Develop calculations and documentation under close supervision.
