Job summary

Bohler’s Charlotte, NC office is seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer (Land Development) who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to real land development projects from concept through construction.

You will work with experienced engineers on site planning, grading, utilities, and stormwater, using AutoCAD Civil 3D, and participate in Bohler’s Learning & Development programs to build your professional foundation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 0–1+ years of site design and permitting experience.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D; training provided if not proficient.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative teamwork.
• EIT certification is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work on land development projects including site planning, grading, utilities, and stormwater.
• Partner with engineers and mentors to learn site design from concept through construction.
• Create site layouts using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Research design manuals, zoning ordinances, and jurisdictional regulations.
• Assist with regulatory comments and project redesigns as needed.
• Support the preparation of stormwater management reports and construction submittals.
• Attend site visits and coordinate with project teams.
• Engage in professional development programs and network through Bohler’s activities.
• Perform other responsibilities per Bohler policies and standards
