Job summary

Bohler’s Warrenton, VA office is seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer (Land Development) eager to learn, grow, and make an impact on real land development projects. You will work with engineers, designers, and project managers on site planning, grading, utilities, and stormwater management.

You will learn through mentoring, hands-on project work, and Bohler’s Learning & Development programs, with opportunities to advance as you contribute to commercial, residential, and mixed-use sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 0–1+ years of residential, commercial, or industrial site design experience.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D (training provided if not yet proficient).
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Motivation to take initiative and contribute to shared goals.
• EIT certification is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work on land development projects including site planning, grading, utilities, and stormwater management.
• Learn every stage of site design from concept through construction with mentors.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to create site layouts, grading plans, and utility designs.
• Research and interpret design manuals, zoning ordinances, and jurisdictional regulations.
• Review regulatory comments and assist with project redesigns as needed.
• Assist with stormwater management reports and construction submittals.
• Participate in Bohler’s Learning & Development programs.
