Job summary

Granite Construction in Sparks, NV is seeking an entry‑level estimating support professional to provide technical engineering and cost information for compliant construction work. You will assist with controls for contract, budget, schedule, forecasting, and job costing, while interpreting drawings for craft workers to ensure specifications are met.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or related field and 0–2 years of experience, with strong MS Office and AGTEK Take-off

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 0–2 years construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office and AGTEK Take-off software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
• Interpret design/drawings for craft workers installing material to ensure specifications are followed.
• Research and recommend resolutions to drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interference, and errors to verify compliant work.
• Prepare and disseminate documentation records such as status reports, punch lists, sketches, and material requirement calculations.
• Provide technical support and direction regarding project material controls to minimize additional costs.
• Prepare drawings and sketches to support construction work, change orders, and estimates.
• Provide building control lines and elevations for accurate measurement and installation.
