Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking an entry-level construction estimator to provide technical engineering and cost information to ensure compliance with engineering standards.

You will assist with controls, interpret drawings, prepare documentation, and support bid preparation, with 0–2 years experience preferred; bachelor’s in relevant field. Granite offers growth opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 0–2 years construction estimating support, engineering, or field experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office and AGTEK Take-off software.
• Ability to interpret designs and provide cost estimates.

Mansioni

• Assist with job controls to ensure budget, schedule, and costs.
• Interpret drawings for craft workers to follow specs.
• Analyze drawings to resolve conflicts and ensure code compliance.
• Prepare documentation and material requirement calculations.
• Provide material controls scheduling and design requirements guidance.
• Prepare drawings and sketches for work orders and estimates.
• Create control lines and elevations for accurate installations.
• Develop data for quantity take-offs, material prices, and labor costs.
• Research data to develop bid guidelines.
• Maintain back-up files supporting bid accuracy.
