Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for acquisition, development and sustainment of aviation programs. This full-time on-site role requires presence at the NAVAIR base in Patux River, MD.

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required (Top Secret possible after start). Candidates should have at least two years in software or systems engineering and knowledge of avionics systems.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of software or systems engineering experience.
• Knowledge of avionics systems.
• Active Secret Clearance required; Top Secret possible later.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Analyze software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
• Support the ECP process and prepare SOWs/CDRLs.
• Develop IGCEs and assist in evaluating contractor proposals.
