FirstEnergy is seeking Journeyworker Lineworkers to build and maintain electric power systems and restore service to customers. The role involves climbing poles, testing, framing and wiring, with responsibilities across outdoor environments and all weather conditions.

Openings are predominantly in Ohio, with duties including travel within the region, safety training, and potential transfer to a new headquarters as needed. Competitive hourly wages apply, with pre-employment screenings required.

Competenze

• Completion of a federal or state sanctioned line worker apprenticeship with approved documentation.
• Valid Class A driving permit by first day of employment.
• High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• Must pass a DMV medical exam by first day of employment.
• Ability to wear PPE and lift up to 100 pounds.

Mansioni

• Travel to various job locations within the assigned region.
• Review job work requirements and provide input for the day.
• Load/unload tools and materials at crew HQ and job site.
• Lift and carry insulators, cross-arms and equipment.
• Test, frame, set and anchor poles; string power lines and install cross-arms.
• Hangs and energizes transformers; take voltage readings.
